First excercise program :)

Excercise 1
Walk around Paris with the backpacks because there are no lockers at the Montparnasse station and the luggage service is very expensive and not open early in the morning.

Exercise 2 Find a relatively cheap hotel in Paris at night because the whole station is closed for the night -> walk even more with the backpacks.

 I started to feel what it will be like to have everything on me all the time.

Excercise 3
Don't get sick on the bus from Bayonne to Saint Jean Pied de Port. The view of course makes the whole thing worth it.

It was quite nice not carry the backpacks around Saint Jean Pied de Port after we arrived. The first albergue experience is starting quite nicely. The place is clean and people are friendly. The first pilgrim's menu was also very nice and filling with the three courses.

My first friend on The Way

Last week I participated in a workshop on proton-nucleus physics in Trento, Italy. For financial reasons I asked for a shared room.

Guess from where my roommate came! Yes, from the University of Santiago de Compostela!

My new friend is Pía who is working on nuclear parton distribution functions or nPDFs and showed her group's work at the workshop.

We agreed to meet in Santiago de Compostela when we get there, hopefully around Saint James's Day 25th of July.
